10012009 - Proton Malaysian Open 2009 Semi Finals

We had no plans to Bukit Jalil for the semis. But, we missed the chance to take picture with Lee Yong Dae. So, we planned to go again on Saturday. We reached there early this time to wait for them. but damn. the enterance was not open yet. Matches started at 1pm, enterance pulak open at 12.30. Stupid management. So, everybody got to wait outside =.=

After grabbing 2 Yonex shirts, we headed to the upper tier. Lucky enough that the matches weren't started yet. Yong Dae, Lee Hyo Jung, Sudket and Saralee were already warming up on the court. Then, its PRICELESS to see Li Mao warming up with Park Sung Hwan. Hard to see Li Mao in action yeah. haha.

Well, the day kicked off with mixed doubles event. Yong dae-Hyo Jung's opponent was Sudket and Saralee from Thailand. Nobody was screaming as it there were no Malaysian players involved. haha. All of them did not pass their quarter final hurdles except for Lee Chong Wei. hahahahahahah. Anyhow, those xiao didi sitting behind us was shouting for the Thais. They clapped and shouted something like.. "Thailand...Thailand...Thailand". Well, as usual, Ying Jie and I cheered for the Koreans. As the Koreans clinched a point, we clapped and shouted. Then, those small kids pulak changed their slogan from "Thailand..Thailand..Thailand" to "Bangkok..Bangkok..Bangkok.." and "Hapcai..Hapcai.." and suddenly "TOMYAM"! wat the hell. So, shall "Dae Han Min Guo" be changed to "Kimchi"?? haha

Yong Dae served

He lands after jumping smash

I luv this pic. Jumping smash by LYD =)

Women singles event was nothing special. They played as usual. Men singles was the peak event that day, which involved Lee Chong Wei and Peter Gade Christensen. As usual, no, I should say that whenever there's LCW, there's the Malay fatso supporter. haha. Once he appeared in the stadium, automatically you will know that Lee Chong Wei is coming out next. lol.

I was a noob again for the match. Again, both of them were my favourite.haha. Anyway, I was thrilled when Gade won the 2nd match. haha. but i was sweating during the rubber game. The battle between the two badminton "giants" was great. Great defence by LCW and great smash attack by Gade. but Gade lost his momentum in the 3rd game. Kinda disappointing though. It will be nicer if Gade has won the game =.=. Sigh Anyhow, Gade didn't loose to anyone. He was just lost to the suporters. Gade needs supporters here. Even ang-moh also carrying Jalur Gemilang. You people tell me, how is he going to win??

Peter Gade spotted. hahas

All the best, Gade

1 all =)

The Malaysian Supporting Team

He was the man behind the whole support team.

After the men singles match, we skipped women doubles and went out to hunt for Peter Gade. We were waiting for him for more than 40 mins at the underground enterance. Waiting and waiting until damn nervous. LOL. We pulak went to ask the person who guarded at the enterance there whether Gade has left. haha. Gade was still in the stadium! Changing room perhaps. hahah. lol. then we asked him to let us to go into the arena. but he refused. damn this fella. Then I went boasting with him, see whether there'll be any chance or not. haha. But this fella was damn responsible though. NO means NO. celaka. =.=. Nothing can be done. Just wait lo.. Wait till we sacrificed Yong Dae and Jae Sung's match. serious shit. Anyway, I was able to went into the lower tier to peep once in a while. haha.

After a while, we saw Wong Pei Tty walked out from the underground and headed to the mobile KFC. hahaha. So, we decided to wait for her. While waiting, i was looking at the draw of the games on the notice board. and then I heard Ying Jie suddenly shouted, "Peter Gade is out, Peter Gade is out!!!!" and she added.. "Don't bother about Wong Pei Tty already. You can meet her anytime at Pasar Malam." LOLOLOL.. haha.
Didn't know what the hell was going on with me. My Heart was like... suddenly dropping from the 20th floor to the ground. OMG. I took out my camera from my bag, I dropped the pouch. Whistle, tissue paper, and everything in my bag dropped out la. too kan jiong. hahaha. Anyway. haha. I managed to let him to be the first person to place his signature on my newly bought M'sian Open Yonex shirt. LOL. and..and..and.. He talked to me!!! saying "Keep it tight.. keep it tight.." LOL. as he was like... wanted me to pull the shirt tight so that he can sign on it. hahah. Gade should be honoured as he's the 1st DANE that I've spoken to. LOLLLLL. Just Kidding la, Gade. =DDD lol. He was a little bit arrogant though. But, I like it! He has the conditions and FIT to be arrogant! hahaha.

He signed on my shirt =))
I love this picture very very very much. Thx NYJ =)
As I've said, I manage to do some peeping during the men doubles match. Well, I have no comment as the people there were cheering for the Koreans but not the English. haha. BUT!!! why they were just cheering for Lee Yong Dae?? Jung Jae Sung is not people ker? ish. but nevermind la. haha. No comments. lol. Just feel like Jung Jae Sung very kesian. lol.
Men doubles was the last match of the day.We rushed down to the arena after the end of the men doubles. No kidding. It was damn fast. We managed to reached the carpark, where a group of Korean players were waiting for their van to come. OMG!! haha. I managed to capture some pictures with the players I know and managed to have their signature as well. They were :-
Korean single coach -- Li Mao. One of the best coaches in the world.
Li Mao was cool. When I asked him for a picture, he said "Lai ba!" lol.

This is Jung Jae Sung
I love this picture very much. Thx NYJ once again =)

Coconut head Park Sung Hwan. haha

Friendly Lee Hyo Jung

Another picture with her =)

We did not meet Lee Yong Dae in the crowd. Sigh. Ying Jie asked Hyo Jung about Yong Dae's whereabout. She said he was interviewing. Sigh. We searched around the conference and media room, some were locked and some with the lights on. I did not have the courage to open the door, scare my face will appear in the newspaper the next day. LOL. haha.

After searching puas-puas for LYD, we bumped into Dato' Lee Chong Wei accidentally as we were going to enter the arena. He was walking out from the arena alone. He was wearing the red M'sian Open Yonex shirt which is the same as the 1 I bought there. Damn it. If I knew he has it I won't buy the red colour 1! Ying Jie was walking ahead of me, so she saw him first. She stunned when she saw him and said "Excuse mee..." then, he just walked away, with his back of his body facing us, putting 3 of his fingers up with the GOLD and SILVER rings and said "Bu Hao Yi Si" and he walked away. He drove off in his luxury Toyota. Don't know what car is that, just know the car is like sort of travelling car. Really.....kns.. People saying EXCUSE ME doesn't mean want his signature and autographs. Can't we lost our way and seeking for help? There was not any rules available that Dato' cannot communicate with rakyat right? cheh.

From that day onwards, he doesn't earn my support anymore. hmmp. Yet, another heart breaking day. Did not meet LYD. Sigh. Bumped into a Korean press, he said the Korean team left for their hotels already. He told us that the team was staying at Sri Petaling hotel! hahaha. Anyway, I should be glad and thankful as I managed to meet Peter Gade =)
